Vermont Gov. Phil Scott has proclaimed Monday, Oct. 9 as "Indigenous People's Day."

Writer Beth Champagne will read aloud to school aged children from "Encounter," by Jane Yolen, and other picture books presenting Native American experience and wisdom traditions.

A themed craft and refreshments will follow the Storytime.
