The Athenaeum will be closed Saturday, July 14 to prepare for the Open House. The Art Gallery will be open to view The Domes of the Yosemite Saturday from 4-7 pm. Athenaeum Director Bob Joly will give a presentation on The Domes at 4:30 and 6 pm. The Open House continues on Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm, with Bob's presentation at 11 am and 3 pm.

New Athenaeum Hours: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 10-5:30 pm; Tuesday, Thursday: 12-7 pm; Saturday: 10-3 pm

The St. Johnsbury Athenaeum, a legacy of the Fairbanks family,  is a private, nonprofit public library and art gallery located in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. A monument of the 19th century belief in learning, the Athenaeum was founded by Horace Fairbanks as a culture center for the town - a true "athenaeum," providing a free public library and art gallery, as well as a host for numerous educational events.
