The December meeting pick is The Berry Pickers by Amanda Peters. The emotional historical fiction novel is about a Mi'kmaq family from Nova Scotia whose lives are shattered when their four-year-old daughter, Ruthie, vanishes from the blueberry fields of Maine in July 1962.
