EFFECTIVE May 15, 2021

Athenaeum, Gallery, and Lobby Service hours:

Monday-Friday 10:00 am - 5:00 pm, Saturday 10:00 am - 3:00 pm

Even if you are fully vaccinated, the Athenaeum continues to require masking to enter beyond the lobby.

Second Hand Prose, our used bookstore, is closed for now.  We are planning to reopen in June

Come in to checkout books and browse. Return your books to the Bookdrop by the back parking lot.

LOBBY SERVICE:

The Athenaeum Lobby Service is available during our open hours. You can pick up pre-ordered library materials at these times!

You can request materials from the Athenaeum collection in one of three ways:

1.  Log in to your Athenaeum account through KOHA, our online catalog HERE (www.stjathenaeum.org > Library > Search the Catalog). User ID is your full library card number; password is your last name with a capital first letter. The system will email you when the item is available. We will contact you by phone if no email is present.

2.  Email the item title, author and format (book, dvd, book on cd, etc.) to inform@stjathenaeum.org. Don't use any other email address. Tell us your name and phone number. We will contact you by email to confirm.

3.  Call our main number: 802-748-8291. Tell us the item title, author and format. State your name and phone number. Speak slowly and clearly. Repeat your phone number. We will contact you by phone to confirm.

To place a checked out item on hold: Log into your account as described above. In search box type in the name of the book, author, or subject you are searching. If only one choice appears, select Place Hold. If several choices result, click on the title you want and click Place Hold.

Don't come to the Athenaeum until you have been contacted. Items will be on a cart in the lobby, wrapped for privacy, labeled with your name. When at the Athenaeum follow the instructions for safe distancing.
