The Vermont Department of Libraries (VTLIB) is here to support libraries of all kinds, as well as Vermonters throughout the state. We provide free access to online resources statewide, including video-based classes of all kinds, eBooks and eAudiobooks, research resources, career help, legal forms, car repair manuals, and much more, all accessed via a local library card.

    Peterson’s Test and Career Prep is specifically designed to help individuals prepare for standardized tests and explore career options.     Vermont Online Library (VOL) offers a wide assortment of databases for all ages, and on a huge number of topics. It provides access to articles from academic journals, popular magazines, and newspapers. The In Context databases function like a modern encyclopedia, presenting articles with context, images, videos, and links. There are databases available for every age and skill-range, from elementary through post-graduate. Every public library, school library, and academic library in Vermont can access VOL for free.
