Looking for creative ways to publish your words or make your own magazines?

Sign up for this hybrid workshop hosted by Lassiter Williams.  Join us from home using Google Meet OR attend in the Children’s Library. 

All materials will be provided for take-home at the Athenaeum.

For Ages 8-13.

Art & Book Fair

¨ Create a unique piece of art work or display based on book selection

¨ Art work can be painting, sculpture, mixed media or other art expression about the book, such as character, setting, or action

¨ Displays could be information about plot, setting, characters, time period and more.

¨ Use your imagination with your display.  If you plan to use technology, it should be battery operated, since access to electricity is limited.

¨ Display space measures 36” W X 30” D, approximately.

Space is limited to 20 participants.

Countries Around the World: Holiday Customs and Traditions

Students should choose a country they would like to research (not the United States, please).

Choose some facts that you would like to share about that country.

Display suggestions include, but not limited to: country flag, country map, landmarks, products, foods, language, famous people, etc. Include information about that country’s holiday customs and traditions. Use your imagination with your display.  If you plan to use technology, it should be battery operated, since access to electricity is limited. Display space measures about 36” W X 30” D. Space is limited to 20 participants.
