Stories and Songs from the Suffragists. Friday, November 18, 7 pm
Scott Davis
Singer and historian Linda Radtke, in period garb and “Votes for Women” sash, celebrates the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment, specifically highlighting the decades-long persistence of Vermonters. Radtke’s engaging presentation, accompanied by pianist Cameron Steinmetz, highlights Vermonters’ efforts as they lobbied for total enfranchisement.
Linda Radtke, a classically trained singer, was a Vermont high school teacher for thirty-one years and now produces the VPR Choral Hour on Vermont Public.
This event is sponsored by Vermont Humanities. It is ADA accessible and free to the public.

Learning Express and the CDL Training
Scott Davis
Learning Express Library is a deep and broad tool that has something for everyone. It can help someone choose a pathway in life or provide the tools to a better job.
The Department of Motor Vehicles is now listing LearningExpress as a training resource for those working on obtaining their Commercial Drivers License (CDL). LearningExpress is available to all Vermonters through their library and contains practice tests, flashcards, and more to help prepare for the CDL test. LearningExpress also provides access to many resources for learning about different careers, building resumes, cover letters, and doing well at interviews (among many other things).
One of the great features in this site is that it has practice tests for CDL licenses, NCLEX, as well as SAT and ACT resources and practice tests for high schoolers and GRE tutorials and practice tests for college students. More information about the resource is at https://www.stjathenaeum.org/digital-resources .
